Teacher Programs & Grants

Classroom Grants

Fund a Classroom

Our Fund a Classroom program gives you the opportunity to secure the resources you need to engage your students with innovative, hands-on instruction. Throughout the year, you’ll submit grants outlining your goals and budget on our Find It Fund It portal. There, individuals and companies can see your needs and make contributions directly to your projects. We’ll also share other grant opportunities that are sponsored by local companies with specific educational objectives.

Teacher Program

Evening of Excellence

We’re fortunate in Pinellas County to have so many exemplary teachers dedicated to improving student outcomes. Evening of Excellence is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on all the Teacher of the Year nominees, celebrate teachers, and show our appreciation for your impact that goes well beyond the classroom. The top ten finalists receive generous prize packages provided by community and corporate sponsors.

Teacher Program

Professional Development

At the Pinellas Education Foundation, we know that strengthening knowledge, skills and supports for teachers and principals will improve student achievement levels. We offer professional development and instructional coaching for our programs, such as Reading Recovery, Pinellas Early Literacy Initiative, and Closing the Gap. We believe in continuous improvement by investing in innovative solutions to some of education’s most pressing issues.

I love that the Pinellas Early Literacy Initiative (PELI) is all about high scholar achievement. It promotes engagement between the scholar and teacher and continues to build up the confidence our scholars truly need to be successful readers. As a teacher, PELI has reignited my love for phonics and literacy. It continues to push me to become a better teacher and grow my knowledge in all things reading.
