College and Career Centers

We encourage all students to explore their college or technical training options. Our Elevating Excellence: College and Career Centers exist to provide personalized support to students and families. This can include strategic course plans, academic counseling, peer collaboration experiences, college entrance test preparation, FASFA completion, college scholarship planning and more. Our college and career centers provide these services at your school starting your freshman year. The Center Coordinators will inform you on course selection and college access preparation, positioning you to achieve an education after graduation that will lead to meaningful career options.

Entrepreneurship Program

If you’ve ever thought about starting a business, the Entrepreneurship program is for you. This opportunity will allow you to start a new business and bring an innovative idea to market while working with business community mentors. You’ll learn how to add value to people’s lives and take the steps needed to be a successful entrepreneur.

We partner with Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay’s 3DE program where you will receive a mentor and guidance throughout the year. Every student is also a 3DE participant. Join the 3DE program at your high school to have the opportunity to compete against other high school start-ups for scholarships.

Walkers Rising Stars

One of the most recognized arts awards programs in the country, this year-long initiative assists high school juniors and seniors in honing audition and portfolio skills. Aided by expert advice along the way, you’ll compete for college scholarships in the categories of Culinary Arts, Dance, Instrumental, Theater, Visual Arts and Vocal Performance.

Since the inception of Walker’s Rising Stars, more than $900,000 in scholarships have been awarded to talented students in these disciplines. Former winners have gone on to star in and direct Broadway shows, appear on network television including the Tonight Show and the Grammy Awards, display their works in major galleries, and teach the next generation of students of the arts. The Pinellas Education Foundation partners with Pinellas County Schools to produce this stellar competition. Dr. Jeffrey Walker, the program’s original benefactor, remains a key partner, along with a number of corporate and community sponsors.

The Casting Class application is now closed and will reopen at the start of the next school year.
