There are interviews and classrooms visits, media attention and a room packed with educators, family members, community leaders, friends and relatives all holding their collective breath to finally hear the announcement of the new Outstanding Educator of the Year.

Almost everyone has special memories of one great teacher who made us feel we could do anything and who inspired us to try. The Pinellas County Outstanding Educator is just such a person -- one who leads through inspiration and example and who helps each student find her/his own unique talents and potential.
