Seniors & Scholars

Seniors & Scholars

We are proud to present our Seniors & Scholars Program designed for adults 55 and over.  We offer seniors the opportunity to establish friendships, enjoy informative programs, attend outstanding events, serve as mentors to students and with the Pinellas Education Foundation.

Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give.” What better way to give than to get involved with the Seniors & Scholars program and have fun in the process!

"Compassionate Caregiving: How to Take Care of Yourself While Caring for Others"  Featuring author and Caregiver Advocate, Linda Burhans, plus Harmony Home Health CEO, Jonathan Bowman, Director of Operations Carole Ware-McKenzie  and Senior Advocate Melanie Bowman.
Often times it's difficult to identify yourself as a caregiver. Allow the team at Harmony Home Health to share their expertise and some simple, yet powerful, tips for caregivers that can make all the difference in the world to you and your loved ones. It's easy to see yourself as the loving spouse, daughter, son, relative, friend, or neighbor and attend to critical needs of your loved one as they arise. It isn't until you feel the weight of responsibility that you realize you've slipped into this "caregiving" role full-time. This is when it's most important for you to take a look at your own health and well-being before it's too late.
Harmony Home Health is a family-owned and family-centered company that puts the needs of the caregiver in equal standing with those of the person needing care. The fact is...you cannot do your best caring for others if you are not taking care of yourself. This is particularly true for seniors caring for their spouses or siblings and for those that are "sandwiched" between raising their own children and caring for aging relatives. That is why Jonathan Bowman created this company and developed a team of professionals that truly understand the need to support family caregivers as part of their mission. As a home health leader in Tampa Bay, Harmony Home Health is the only agency to employ a full-time "caregiver advocate" whose sole purpose is to educate and raise awareness in the community regarding the necessity of caregiver support.  Harmony's commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of everyone they touch is evident in everything they do. Join us for breakfast in March and learn more about how you can take care of yourself while caring for all those you love at the same time.
