News - Outstanding Educator Finalists Have a Suite Night at the Rays

The Rays honored Outstanding Educator, Lisa Fagan-Brown and all the 2010 Outstanding Educator finalists with a special night out at Tropicana Field on April 23. After months of coaching from one of her students at James B. Sanderlin Elementary, Lisa Fagan-Brown threw out the first pitch as the Rays took on the Jays. Colleagues from Sanderlin celebrated her spotlight on the mound with special #1 Fagan-Brown Rays T-shirts, created just for the occasion.

Outstanding Educators and their guests enjoyed the ambiance and hospitality of the suite experience the Rays provided for this night of recognition. Among the finalists were category winners Marcy Juergens (Commitment to Improvement of the Profession) and Michelle Lampert (Commitment to Children & Families). Lisa Fagan-Brown had a suite of her own to share with family and friends.
The Pinellas Education Foundation is grateful to the Tampa Bay Rays for recognizing Pinellas County’s Outstanding Educators and the many other ways it supports the Foundation in its mission.
