McIntyre and Dick Crippen in a pre-game scholarship presentation at Tropicana Field.  The scholarship namesake, Steve Georgiadis, graduated from Seminole High School in 1988.  He was the Pinellas County Player of the Year and earned a scholarship to attend the University of Florida.  His number has been retired by Seminole High and the University of Florida.

The 2010 recipient, Andrew Fisher is a graduate of Countryside High School. Andrew, a centerfielder, played varsity baseball throughout his high school career. He recently received the Principal Choice award, and the Scholastic Excellence Award from the US Marine Corp. Andrew will begin his studies at Florida State University next month.
